Hi - My name is Kari.... And I am a Scrapbook Addict!!!
No, but really, I am... I have completed 23 albums in the past 5 yrs. But I still feel like I am so far behind!! I scrap by years, and so far have completed 1995-2004, with several other albums thrown in there, like my Puerto Rico album, a Portrait album, and a camping album.
I live in beautiful Carlsbad, California, about 2 miles from the beach. By day, I am a mortgage loan Underwriter, but at night I turn into an obsessed scrapbooker!! I am married to the man of my dreams. Hector who is a professional drummer and Appraiser. We have two incredible kids, Rita (15) and Marshall (10). Thank goodness my family understands and supports my obsession.
I have never considered myself the least bit artsy or crafty. I always left that up to my mom or my sister. My mom is a wonderful artist with a painting in the White House!! And my sister... well, she just does it all!!
But when I discovered scrapbooking, it gave me a creative outlet to express myself in ways I never imagined. My books tell the stories of my family and people I am close to. I am truly grateful for finding scrapbooking, for it lets me share myself on my pages with my journaling and the pictures that mean so much to me.
Besides scrapbooking, I love music, am obsessed with INXS (I have seen them in concert 9 times and about ready to go again!!), sing in a band called "Soulfish", love reality TV, could shop all day, and can't live without chocolate, preferably dark!!!
Last but not least, my Faith in God is my True Guide in all things.
